We were quite lucky to connect online via a popular social app. We bonded strongly over our shared love for delicious vegan food and enchanting travel stories. We were both wary of each other in the beginning, unsure at that time about what would unfold between us. We met on a beautiful, warm Sunday at a now defunct vegan restaurant in Palo Alto and ended up talking in depth about our personal stories, obstacles, and triumphs. We were surprisingly candid and sincere with each other. At the end of the meal, it became apparent that we needed more time so we ended up sharing laughs while sipping on a cup of Joe at Philz and strolling over for a vegan dessert at Whole Foods. Little did we know after our first date that we would up end up falling madly for each other!
