We met on a dating website. I scrolled past his profile many times, and I kept telling myself that someone that good looking would never go for me. LMAO. Little did I know, because he messaged me the next day. He messaged me a pick up line that hooked me in because it was so corny and stupid, but it made me laugh. We talked for 3 weeks before I let him take me out on a date. He took me to the small town drive in, put blankets and chairs in the back of his truck, and we watched the movie and cuddled. It was the best date I have ever been on. I mentioned to him a few weeks before, that I have never dated a guy with a truck, and I would love to lay in the back of one and look at the stars. The only stars I saw that night were the ones in his eyes.
Steve recreated our first date. We went back to the drive in, got some snacks, put blankets in the back of the jeep, and had an amazing setup. I was sitting there waiting for the movie to come on and of course scrolling through my phone. He was messing with his backpack (he takes it everywhere, it is his survival bag lol) which is normal for him to do. I thought nothing of it honestly. He was on his knee, and he asked me right there. It was perfect. It was us. I didn't believe it at first, I actually asked him if he was serious! lol! He assured me that it was 100% real. He said that he never really wanted to see the movie we came to see, and that he just wanted to set the scene. I was flabbergasted, because I am very hard to surprise. He has always managed to surprise me all the time, and I absolutely love how much effort he puts into it.
