God is good! We're getting married!

"Matchmaker, matchmaker make me a match!" are words from the musical Fiddler on the Roof that I used to listen to when I was growing up. I always thought that the idea of having a matchmaker would be nice but it wasn't possible for me. Until, one day in June 2023, I got a text from a family friend I lovingly call "Tia" telling me about this super amazing guy that loved his family, the Lord, and was super talented. I was highly skeptical, but open to at least making a new friend if nothing else. And then, I met him... On June 30, 2023, our love story began. The thing I remember most about meeting Randy was how comfortable I felt around him being myself. Since the beginning, I have never felt the need to be anything other than totally and utterly who I am because he was amazing at being exactly who he was. In August 2023 we confessed our mutual feelings while watching a sunset, in September, he asked me to be his girlfriend officially, he spoke with my parents, and we had our first official date at the MET all in the same week! From there, the adventure didn't stop as we explored NYC, spent time with each other's friends and families, went to church together, picked pumpkins, dressed up, watched movies, played many rounds of cards and board games at holidays, ate lots of amazing food (at restaurants and cooked by one another), prayed together, and so much more.... It was clear to me that there was no one else I would rather be doing all of the big and little things with. And so, here's to all of the big events and little moments of our beautiful journey.

When I first met Michaela, I was already going through a few major changes in my life. I moved from the Bronx to New Jersey, started my first full-time job post-college, and deep inside I was feeling that there were more big changes on the horizon. A few weeks prior to being introduced to Michaela, I was reading the book of Tobit, and felt deep inside that God has prepared an angel to lead me to my future spouse. I would have never expected for such an angel to approach me at a graduation party and introduce me to Michaela. Initially I was very surprised, but from then on I knew, I was about to go on a great adventure. From the beginning Michaela and I clicked so easily, and I picked up on her brilliance and passion very quickly. She was unapologetically herself, and each date no matter how simple or extravagant it felt like I was exploring the world with fresh eyes. I have learned so much about myself through her, growing in spirituality and emotional intelligence along the way. It is very clear that we are meant to be life partners.... and there is no one else I would rather embark on this journey with.
