Randy and Hannah began their love story at Baldman Brewery in Eagan in October 2016. It began by Hannah pushing the date back by an hour so she could finish putting Crosby to bed. The first of many times Hannah would be late and Randy patient. Over a few beers Randy and Hannah shared laughs and awkward adolescent stories. Through the course of conversation they learned they had a mutual friend, Hannah's long time best friend and Randy's friend from the University of St Thomas, Kathleen (now the Matron of Honor in their wedding). Hannah excused herself and excitedly texted Kathleen, "You'll never guess who I'm on a date with! Your friend from college Kyle!" Kathleen responded, "No way! He's super tall!" Hannah now very confused responded, "No, he's about my height." Kathleen set the record straight and replied, "You must be out with Randy!" Randy had shared many stories about his longtime roommate named, Kyle, which Hannah then forgot in all her excitement. A second date happened just a couple days after the first at the Walker Arts Center where Hannah and Randy learned they are not really the artsy type and decided to head back to a bar in Eagan to share more beer. Their relationship continued to grow over the coming months with introducing Randy to Hannah's then 2 year old Crosby, meeting each others friends and families, and watching many sporting events (per Randy's request, SKOL Vikings!). After a year of dating they moved into a townhouse in Apple Valley and started to create their own family unit. In November 2019, Randy asked Hannah to go on a hike around Lebanon Hills in Eagan where Hannah talked nonstop until Randy couldn't take it anymore came to stop said, "I can't wait any longer!" He got down on one knee and Hannah finally stopped talking. Neither party knows exactly what was said as Randy was so nervous and Hannah saw the ring and couldn't wait to get it on! We are hoping that Randy did in fact ask Hannah to marry him and she did say yes, finally!
