If you have already RSVP'd as "not attending" and it is past the RSVP due date, then we will unfortunately not be able to accommodate your change in status.
Please do not bring a plus one unless it is indicated on your formal invitation.
While we adore your children, this is an adult only event.
The address to the venue is 6831 Dabneys Mill Rd Manquin, Virginia 23106. There are several gorgeous driving routes if you choose to drive from Hampton Roads. If you choose to stay in Downtown Richmond or are driving up from Hampton Roads and would like to ride the shuttle, there will be shuttle that will transport you to and from the venue. Yes! There is a lovely parking lot off to the side of the venue that is marked by a sign! Once you are the parked, there is a golf cart that will transport guests from the lot to the ceremony site where you will be guided to the chairs!
No! If you prefer to drive yourself to the venue, please feel free! There is a lovely parking lot with plenty of space. While we encourage partying, please drink responsibly if you are going to be driving yourself.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 pm. We ask that everyone arrive by 3:30 pm at the latest to ensure that we start on time. I'd love to run into you on the dance floor and not walking down the aisle! If you are late, you will be asked to stand off to the side and we will have you join the party for cocktail hour!
Unfortunately, we do not have a hotel block for our guests. If you navigate to our travel tab on the website, we have listed a few suggested hotels that are near the shuttle pick up spot.
We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins, we ask that your phones are silenced and put away. We want everyone to be fully present with us and we have a wonderful team of photographers who will capture all the best moments, which we will absolutely share with you!
The dress code/suggested attire is garden party formal! Ladies, think florals, fun colors, ruffles, etc. Guys, think collared shirts, dress pants, etc. Please refrain from wearing jeans and worn/torn clothing. Dress up- how often do you get to feel like a superstar?! Ladies, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be on the grass, so keep that in mind for your heels! Please reference this Pinterest board if you're anything like the bride and love a good inspo moment: https://pin.it/5COLJuVkW
We will be having an outdoor ceremony with the reception under a covered pavilion.
The weather in September is historically in the 80s during the day and 60s during the night. However, Virginia is notorious for wishy washy weather. Please check the weather in the days leading up to the event.
We are offering a buffet for your choice of rosemary & garlic pork loin or lemon caper chicken with southern styled green beans and roasted herb potatoes. We will accommodate any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Please indicate your needs during the RSVP process.
Yes! The alcohol is on us! There will be an open bar with beer, seltzers, wine, and select cocktails. Rideshares (like Uber and Lyft) and taxis will be hard to come by at the venue so please opt to use our shuttle or have a designated driver to take you home. Please drink responsibly. Should you need to leave your car, the venue has allowed cars to be left overnight as long as they are picked up by 2 pm the next day.
