Wedding Party

Chloe

Maid of Honor

Chloe is Madison’s cousin, best friend, therapist, and so much more. She is the older sister Madison always wanted and needed. Chloe has taught Madison so much about the world. From learning the ABCs while playing school to discovering ’80s pop and Fall Out Boy. Along the way, Chloe taught Madison everything from how to do her makeup to what it truly means to be a good partner and friend. Madison would not be who she is today without Chloe.

Nick

Man Of Honor

Nick is Madison's older brother. A few years ago, he called her and asked "What song would I request at this bar?" and Madison quickly replied "Sugar we're going down" and the background on the phone erupted in cheers. Then 30 minutes later Nick called again and asked "Madison, what shirt am I wearing" and Madison correctly answered and the background went wild again. One person then took the phone and said "how do you know so much about him?" And Madison replied simply "he's my best friend." Madison has spent her whole life trying to convince Nick that she was cool. Making him man of honor was a strategic move.

Alec

Best Man

Alec has been one of Randy’s closest friends since first grade, and they've shared countless memories over the years. From sleepovers, video games, and karaoke sessions that lasted until sunrise to joining radio and bowling together, they've always found ways to have fun. Along the way they've built an endless collection of inside jokes and have supported each other through life's many adventures. Alec has become such a fixture in Randall’s life that he can walk into the family home like one of the siblings. While they've ended up farther apart geographically, their friendship has remained as strong as ever.

Adam

Groomsman

Adam is Randy’s older brother and has always acted as a mentor. Being six years older, he has often faced many of life’s challenges before Randy and has had many opportunities to be the wise older sibling. He’s always been the kind of person who lets you find your own way and then offers guidance and help when it's needed. Whether Randy forgot his lunch money or needed a ride way out of the way, Adam will always come through when needed. But beware because when hanging out, time flies and before you know it the sun is about to come up and you still haven't gone to sleep.

Jen

Bridesmaid

Jen and Madison met in middle school when they partnered up to sing “For Good” from Wicked for a choir competition. They didn’t win… turns out Madison’s alto range brought them down (ba dum tss). Since then, they’ve bonded over a mutual love for the Jonas Brothers, avoiding unnecessary socializing, and being each other’s go-to errand buddy. Whether it’s a 10 minute meijer run, an 18 hour road trip, or watching 5 straight hours of Say Yes to the Dress, Jen is the perfect sidekick for making life more fun.

Billie

Groomswoman

Billie is my younger sibling by two years and one of the most reliable and fun people you'll ever meet. Growing up, Randy had an overactive imagination and would be sleepless after scary movies. More than once, he would wake Billie up in the middle of the night, and without complaint, she would stay awake until he could fall asleep. Even on nights not following a scary movie, they'd stay up playing PSP together until their parents came in, at which point they'd both quickly pretend to be asleep.

Thomas

Bridesman

Thomas started as Randall’s coworker and friend, but Madison asked Thomas if they could be best friends within five minutes of meeting, and they have been ever since. Thomas sparked Madison’s love for Catan, sending her on a lifelong quest to settle the world. As pandemic roommates, Thomas and Madison spent many days cooped up playing Catan, baking, hosting kitchen dance parties, and watching far too much RuPaul’s Drag Race and Love Island. Despite the chaos of a global pandemic, Madison was grateful they managed to build a strong friendship… one settlement at a time.

Matt

Groomsman

Matt is Randy’s youngest brother and the Ninja Racecar Driver of the family. He has always been unapologetically himself and is guaranteed to make any gathering more fun. Growing up together created no shortage of memorable stories, from the infamous whoopie cushion incident that got them banned from using them in the house to a roughhousing mishap where Randy accidentally missed the couch and gave Matt a black eye. More recently, Randy cherished the opportunity to have Matt stay with him and Madison in San Diego during his internship, creating a whole new set of memories together.

Sara

Bridesmaid

Sara and Madison met in preschool...BFFSPS, if you will. Madison moved away in 2nd grade, but fate (and Sara’s family) brought them back together in Homer Glen a few years later. Not everyone can say they’ve had the same best friend for over 25 years, but having moms who are also best friends certainly helps.

Jeff

Groomsman

It’s Jefe, man. Jeff is one of Randy’s closest friends and someone whose quick wit, thoughtfulness, and curiosity have made every conversation more interesting. Over the years, they’ve spent countless hours playing Smash Bros., discovering new restaurants, and occasionally dominating the competition in d̶r̶i̶n̶k̶i̶n̶g games. Randy especially enjoys Jeff’s endless thought experiments, whether it’s ranking restaurants, video games, or just about anything else. Most importantly, Jeff once unknowingly saved their lives by stopping to tie his shoe on the way to County Market, a reminder that sometimes the smallest decisions can make all the difference.

Carissa

Bridesmaid

Carissa and Madison are BFFSD (best friends forever since diapers). They grew up across the street from each other, and now they live across the country from each other. But no amount of miles can get in the way of a friendship that’s been going strong since before they could walk.

Alex

Groomsman

Alex is Randy’s good ol’ neighbor from the dorms and a great friend. They met on the very first day of college and quickly became close thanks to how naturally their personalities clicked. Alex is driven, hardworking, and always enjoyable to be around. Whether he's offering medical advice or brainstorming a new invention, he always makes for a great conversation. More than a few of those conversations have stretched until 4 a.m., with Alex still enthusiastically talking while Randy fights to stay awake. Somehow, those late-night discussions are always worth it because the company is just that good.

Kristin

Bridesmaid

Kristin was Madison’s first friend she made all on her own in San Diego, forever bonded through the trauma of toxic preschool employment. Madison is endlessly grateful for Kristin’s friendship, especially her ruthless decluttering support. Everyone needs a friend who will pry your old clothes from your hands and force you to donate them and Kristin does it with grace and a garbage bag.

Jake

Groomsman

Jake is the kind of random roommate everyone hopes to get when they leave for college. Randy and Jake hit it off immediately and chose to stay roommates for several years, including one unforgettable summer. Together, they survived the challenges of engineering classes while making sure to get the most out of the college experience. Jake has always been a great sport, which is fortunate because Randy probably tested that patience more than he should have with an endless stream of pranks, including a six-month campaign to convince Jake that their apartment was haunted. Through it all, Jake took it in stride and made every year an adventure.

Anna

Bridesmaid

Madison and Anna unfortunately have the same brain. Madison has never met anyone who understands the terribleness of her mind quite like Anna does. Anna has helped Madison to explore her own mental health and feel less alone. When Madison and Anna are not spiraling about their weird social interactions or self-diagnosing one another with medical and mental health disorders, Anna and Madison crush a Cricut project or play mermaids at the pool. We are fun to be around, I promise.

Nick

Groomsman

Nick is one of those rare people who somehow manages to be smart, athletic, interesting, and effortlessly cool all at the same time. His competitive side shines through in everything he does, like drawing on 14 years of baseball experience and turning a casual college game of Corners into a championship-level event. He also handed Randy a humbling defeat in a boat race that continues to occupy valuable real estate in Randy’s mind to this day. Just when you think you've got Nick figured out, he'll pull you into one of the most thought-provoking conversations you've ever had. Truly a 10/10 friend.

Kate

Bridesmaid

Kate influenced Madison to go to HIIT workout classes AND sign up for a membership and Madison didn't immediately cut Kate out of her life on the spot. This says something!! Their friendship is greater than the hatred Madison has of working out, bright lights, and EDM music. Kate and Madison enjoy ~short~ walks through Balboa Park and perusing local estate sales. Kate also played a crucial role in Madison and Randall's proposal and had to put up with Madison's constant suspicions, handling it with grace (and minimal anxiety).

Katherine

Something Blue Crew

Madison would not have made it this far as a therapist without Katherine's calm presence and encouragement. Katherine is such a wealth of knowledge and experience and Madison has loved getting to learn alongside her and from her. Katherine is a nurturing and gentle friend who helps to calm Madison's loud and chaotic energy. But have no fear, there is a silly side to Katherine and hopefully, she graces us with her presence.

Elise

Something Blue Crew

Elise helped Madison to realize she is buzzing with ADHD energy. Elise has empowered Madison and helped her to see the good inside. Madison would not be the clinician she is today without Elise sharing her resources and wisdom. But don't be fooled by the professional demeanor. Madison and Elise can be found stimming and singing random rap songs while trying to muster up enough focus to send an email.

Caroline

Something Blue Crew

Caroline is a great friend who is always up for an adventure, especially the ones Madison springs on her with little warning. From spontaneous drives to LA with no details to a last-minute middle of the workday Tai Verdes meet and greet because Madison won tickets on the radio, Caroline is always along for the ride. When they aren’t adventuring, you can find them swimming among a sea of elders at the local water aerobics class.

Jeremy

Usher

Jeremy is Madison's older brother. Jeremy used to hold Madison above the toilet and threaten to flush her down. They have made great progress since then. Jeremy moved to San Diego when Madison was young and she always loved visiting him. Madison is forever grateful for his encouragement to take the leap and move out West.

Sy

Usher

Sy is the oldest of the siblings and someone Randy looked up to throughout childhood. Growing up, Sy had a natural charisma and an incredible ability to connect with people from all walks of life. At family reunions and gatherings, Randy would often forget the names and faces of relatives and family friends, but Sy always seemed to know exactly who everyone was and how to strike up a conversation. His outgoing personality helped bring people together and left a lasting impression on those around him.

Danny

Officiant

Danny is the kind of friend that you’d sit around a bonfire for hours with while chatting about anything and everything. He engages on every topic and always makes others feel heard and connected to. He has a warm and curious personality that is always inspiring to be around. Randall and Madison both connect with Danny’s humor, intelligence, and kindness. He is there when you need him and you always want him around because of the worldliness and friendship he brings. From hanging with Madison in the Netherlands to adventuring with Randall in Germany, he is such an easy person to get along with and we always walk away inspired to be our best.
