In Randi’s Words … It all started with a swipe to the right. We matched on Hinge, and just a couple of days later we met in person. The moment I first saw Avery, I knew he was special. Our first date was filled with stories, genuine connection, and so much laughter — and by the time the date ended, I knew. The months that followed were filled with pool days, evenings wandering through Old Town Alexandria, dinner dates, and simply spending quality time together. Everything with Avery felt easy and natural, like we had known each other far longer than we actually had. I knew Avery was the one on a warm summer day when we had a candle-making date, followed by lunch and sitting outside enjoying the sun and the views of the Potomac River. The world felt still and safe — like nothing else mattered. In that moment, I felt a sense of home. Being with him felt like the song “Love Rain” by Jill Scott — soulful, warm, and overflowing with love. And here we are, ready to say I do and continue writing our forever. In Avery’s Words… Finding a woman like Randi is no small task. Someone with intelligence, radiating beauty, confidence, passion, and a smile that can brighten the darkest of days. A true goddess. It all started with a swipe on Hinge. Randi and I matched on a Friday and by that Sunday, we had already scheduled our first date. We met at a local Mexican restaurant in Falls Church and within 10 minutes, I knew something was special about her. The conversation was so natural, it was as if I had already known her my entire life. The day that I knew Randi was the one was when I first drove to Ashburn so we could spend the weekend together. At the time, I assumed she only lived a few miles away due to my location range on Hinge being set to a 10 mile radius. Realizing that she was willing to drive over 40 miles to see me made me appreciate our time together even more. She made a terrific braised short rib dinner and I was immediately hooked! Our chemistry continued to build more and more each day. Whether a simple movie night, or a night out in DC or Orlando, every day with her felt like the perfect dream come true. Proposing to her was the easiest decision I’ve ever made and there will be no greater feeling than seeing her walk down the aisle on May 24th, 2026.
