Randi had just returned to Indiana from her hometown in North Dakota after experiencing a breakup after graduating high school. She decided she was going to find the cutest, coolest guy out there. So she started creepin' on Myspace. Where else would she find the kind of guy she was looking for? After a quick local search, there he was. Black, slightly greasy, straighted and side swept hair across one side of his face. Blue eyes. Tight band t-shirts. Kissing an energy drink. And to top it all off, he had a cool name: Zack Morris. So Randi PMed him on Myspace. They talked there for a bit before conversation moved to AOL Instant Messenger or AIM and then to phone calls. It was on AIM that she finally found out that his name was in fact not Zack Morris, but Dustin Kaiser. Randi had never watched Saved By the Bell (and has still not watched it). After some time talking, Randi and Dustin decided to meet irl (in real life). Let's go see a movie. Sure. Randi begged her cousin, Becky, who was staying in Indiana for the summer, to come with. Becky said, "I'm not getting killed by an axe murderer" and left Randi to fend for herself in this situation. Randi was nervous about what to wear. She had never went on a proper date before. She ended up wearing her black Blind Guardian band T-shirt and low rise jeans from American Eagle. When it was time, Dustin picked Randi up in a giant, loud Dodge truck (which she was not expecting). He was wearing a very cool Devil Wears Prada zip up hoodie with holds in the cuffs for his thumbs. His hair was perfectly side swept over one eyebrow. Before they could go on their movie date, Randi's mother and step-father, Debbie and Mark, wanted to meet Dustin. To size him up, so to speak. Randi walked him to the front door, where she promptly tripped over a stepping stone. Great.. Her mother and step-father not only met Dustin, but also introduced him to their German Shepherd, Myriah, for effect. Great again... Eventually they headed out to the Portage movie theater. As mentioned earlier, Randi had never been on a proper date. She wasn't sure how things like this worked. Especially with an older guy. They found their seats in the theater, Dustin sat down, and Randi skipped a seat between them and sat in the next. Dustin moved over to the seat next to her and joked about Randi not wanting to sit next to him. They watched Rush Hour 3 which was not very good. After the movie, Dustin took Randi back to her house in his very large, silver truck. He walked her back into the driveway, where they had their first hug. They agreed to talk later on AIM. The rest is history. #fromtop8tosoulmate
