Parking and Entrance

8940 Jones Mill Road, Chevy Chase, MD 20815 Woodend has 2 gates. The entrance gate is located on 8940 Jones Mill Rd. The exit gate is located on Brierly Rd. Only use Google Maps or Waze, so they are directed to the Jones Mill Rd. gate. Apple Maps leads drivers to the wrong entrance. You will be directed to park by Woodend staff. There are two obvious parking lots near the Mansion plus parking on the diagonal down the back lane toward Brierly Road on both sides (gravel and grass).

Woodend’s main building is a historic mansion. Accessible parking is available, and the first floor of the building includes an accessible entrance with an automatic door on the north side, an accessible pathway to the terrace on the west side, and a ramp from the terrace to the interior of the house. There is no accessible bathroom in the building, but we will be available to assist the best we can.

Service dogs are permitted at Woodend Sanctuary & Mansion. Emotional support animals are not considered service animals and therefore are not permitted at Woodend.
