we can't wait to celebrate with you!

Janay and Randy like to joke that they met walking down the aisle. They walked together at Mike and Ashley Tartaglia's wedding in 2016 but there weren't any reality show 'Married at First Sight' vibes since neither of them actually remember having a full conversation that day...oops. After moving back to Michigan, their friends set Janay up with "that guy from the wedding." Their first date included delicious tacos, margaritas, and dancing to Justin Bieber!

Randy had big plans to propose to Janay on a planned vacation to Mexico back in April of 2020. He scheduled to pick up the engagement ring just as things were starting to shut down due to COVID. Despite his frantic calls to the jeweler, there was no telling when he'd be able to pick up the ring. As things got worse in Michigan, their trip was canceled and Janay may or may not have cried. The weekend of their 3 year anniversary Randy tried his best to recreate their first date but again, COVID won. Randy decided to take Janay on a drive around town (something she always wants to do) just to get out of the house. When they came back Janay was greeted by a socially distant group of close friends and family and she immediately began to ugly cry. Randy got down on one knee and to this day he doesn't remember exactly what he said. Despite his blackout, that remains Janay's favorite day.
