FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We'd love for our guests to dress up and celebrate with us! Black Tie Optional attire is encouraged—think tuxedos or dark suits, cocktail dresses or formal gowns, and your favorite elegant look. Most importantly, wear something that makes you feel comfortable and ready to celebrate. All colors are welcome; we kindly ask guests to avoid white or ivory.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we’ve chosen to celebrate with an adults-only event and hope you’ll join us for an evening of good food, drinks, and dancing.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to space limitations, we are only able to accommodate those formally invited. If you have been allotted a +1, it will be listed on your invitation and will allow you to input their information when you RSVP.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to enjoy an unplugged ceremony and keep phones tucked away. We have hired a wonderful photographer to capture all of special moments of the ceremony that we will happily share with you later. There will be plenty of opportunities for photos after the ceremony and during the reception!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Your presence is truly the best gift we could ask for. For those who wish to honor us with a gift, we have registered for a selection of home items and also created a honeymoon fund to help us begin married life with a memorable getaway. Registry information can be found on our Registry page.

Question

Is there a hotel room block for the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We have reserved a block of rooms for our guests at The Rewind West Des Moines, Tapestry Collection by Hilton to make travel and accommodations easy. We recommend booking early, as rooms are limited. Please book your room by September 30th to receive the discounted group rate. After this date, any remaining rooms will be released and availability cannot be guaranteed.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Of course! We wouldn’t invite you to a party and make you pay for your own drinks. Please enjoy responsibly — we want to remember celebrating with you.
