We're getting married!

~The Night We Met~ Picture this: a cozy bar, a Parisian night, and a birthday celebration for my friend Raya. Nicolas walks in, knowing only one person—his friend Jean, who happens to be besties with Raya. Meanwhile, I had just landed in Paris from San Francisco exactly a week before, completely unaware that my life was about to change forever. For Nicolas, it was coup de foudre—love at first sight. For me? Let’s just say I had a gut feeling. You know, the kind where something inside you whispers, you’re going to see this man every day for the rest of your life. And so, we talked. And talked. And talked. I was captivated by his love for art and architecture (which reminded me of my dad, my superhero). He was enchanted by my wit and wisdom (obviously). But what truly sealed the deal? Nicolas is hilarious. He cracked me up that night and never really stopped. ~The Courtship (a.k.a. Nicolas on a Mission)~ After our first date at Café des Anges, where he gave me a book (The Celestine Prophecy, major points for originality), Nicolas went full-on French rom-com mode. He courted me—thoughtful messages, sweet gestures, always making me laugh. And while I played it cool, I was secretly falling for him. Then came Versailles—the day everything clicked. We were there with his mom and sister, and within hours, I knew. Not only did I love Nicolas, but I also realized I had to be with him if I wanted the best in-laws ever. (Seriously, his mom and sister are the sweetest.) ~Our First Date as a Couple… and a Wild Twist of Fate~ Once we made it official, Nicolas took me to Hôtel National des Arts et Métiers—the very place where we’re getting married! A beautiful spot, intimate and full of charm. Little did we know, we were unknowingly choosing the setting for one of the most important days of our lives. And here’s the funniest part: Nicolas had spent a decade roaming around this arrondissement, hanging out at this spot with his bachelor friends, never imagining that this would be the place where he’d marry the love of his life. Fate? Destiny? A very elaborate cosmic joke? Whatever it was, it led us here—to a wedding in the heart of Paris, surrounded by the people we love. And now, we can’t wait to celebrate with you, eat really good Italian food (our second favorite after Lebanese, because let’s be honest, nothing beats hummus and labneh), and dance the night away. Paris brought us together, and now, it’s bringing all of us together. See you in August! ❤️
