Heather Davis

Maid of Honor

Heather and I met at our brother’s bus stop pick up when we were 5 years old and basically became inseparable ever since. We grew up as neighbors, skateboarding, racing our bikes (I still have the scars from my stitches for this one), and creating fake clubs complete with “business cards”. We fought like sisters (have the scars from that too) and as we grew older and travelled in opposite directions of the California coast for college we never lost contact. We made a promise to each other in elementary school that one day we would be each others Maid Of Honor, I got to fulfill that promise for Heather when she married her wonderful Husband, Collin, in 2013, now 10 years later she’s holding up her promise for me. I look up to Heather in so many ways, including how fun, creative and present of a mother she is to her two adorable children. Despite her full plate, she always makes time for those she loves and is the most kind hearted woman I know. I couldn’t imagine anyone else by my side on such a special day.

Annet Larkin

Bridesmaid

Annet and I met while taking horseback riding lessons at Don-E-Brooke Farms when were 7 & 8 years old. Soon those lessons turned into spending all day everyday at the barn, ordering pizza, grooming horses and causing general chaos. As we grew older we became so attached to each other that her family would attend my talent shows in middle school. We would spend our nights having sleep overs and teepeeing our friends houses (clearly, the general chaos has continued). While we spent some time not being as close through high school, our friendship picked right back up where it was in our college years while we both attended different schools in San Diego, California. Over the years we have experienced so many fun and, not so fun, phases of life together. I admire Annet so much for the fiercely loyal, supportive and nonjudgemental friend she is to everyone close to her. I couldn't imagine my wedding day without her by my side.

Danielle Schaeper (aka Cueva)

Bridesmaid

Danielle (known strictly as her maiden name, Cueva, to her inner circle) where do I start! Our friendship began right after high school while driving back and forth to Fullerton to visit a mutual friend attending college there. I can't really pinpoint the day we went from convenient carpool partners to utterly inseparable but, it seemed to happen with no effort at all. Our yin and yang dynamic has always been my favorite part of our friendship. Cueva, the quiet, "sweet" one and then, well, me. You are one of the most hilarious people I know and from spending years celebrating our birthdays together to watching you marry Pat and raise your sweet baby boy, Logan, I have a feeling our adventures are still just getting started. Cueva keeps me grounded and is always my go to for a reality check or a good laugh. Thankful to have her with me on such a special day.

Danielle Cecchino

Bridesmaid

Danielle, Yelly, Big D...as you can tell our friend group loves a good nickname! Danielle and I have been friends since junior high and to say we have experienced a lot together would be an understatement. From nights roaming the paseos of Grannery Square and hanging out at "The Del", to trips to Guatemala, NYE traditions and new career paths, life with you in it is absolutely never dull. Whether we are doing an early morning work out or enjoying a happy hour cocktail, there is never a shortage of laughter when we're together. We have used the same one liners, embarrassing stories, and movie quotes since 2010 and still laugh like it's our first time telling them every.single.time. Danielle is one of the most genuinely supportive friends I've ever had and is constantly going above and beyond to make sure those around her feel loved and heard. I feel incredibly thankful to have her with me on our wedding day.

David Barrantes

Best Man

David Barranetes and I met freshman year of college. My first memory of David was picking him up from the dorms. He was late and I was terrified we were going to get in trouble for being late to a pledge event. Fast forward to 20 years later and not much has changed. We transitioned from college roommates to neighbors in Manhattan Beach (for nearly a decade). We have countless beach days, bar outings, business brainstorming memories. I will be forever grateful that he pushes me to explore the world (we’ve traveled to Costa Rica, Columbia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and more together). Most often his travel invites are met with excuses as to why it's not a good time, so he deserves a lot of credit for his persistence. David was also recently engaged and married. I’m proud of the man he’s become and to have him by my side at the wedding.

David Nichols

Groomsman

David Nichols and I met in 8th grade. My first memory of David was him showing up to math class with his freshly dyed blond hair. Just the tips. These were the days when Eminem was popular. Man I was envious of that hair style. David and I were bonded by sports. We played basketball in middle school and then I cheered him on as he was our star highschool football player. In college he continued to excel in sports and was a two time all american in track and field. It was during this time he met the love of his life, Krista Nichols. Nearly 12 years ago, I was honored to stand next to him as he married Krista. Fast forward to over 25 years later, David and I still share a passion for the outdoors. My Dad and I took him on his first mule deer hunt and witnessed him harvest his first buck. I’m forever grateful for these memories and friendship, proud to have him by my side at the wedding, and look forward to many more adventures together.

Dan Oleson

Groomsman

Dan Oleson and I met freshman year of college. We were on the same dorm room floor, Yosemite tower. We bonded over how different we were from our roommates. Dan’s roommate built custom computers with water cooled components, while my roommate hadn’t discovered deodorant and thought surfing once a week counted as a shower. Good times. Post college I had the honor to be in Dan’s wedding and witness him marry the love of his life. They have a lovely family of four. Dan is someone I’ve called over the years for career advice and support. Dan is a consummate example of a driven family man and someone I look to emulate. I am proud to have him by my side as I embark on this next chapter of life.

Aaron Maxson

Groomsman

Aaron Maxson and I met during my third year of college. He pledged the fraternity and I was lucky enough to be his “big bro.” Our shared love for fitness, tri-tip, ezekiel bread, and tapatio spawned two years as roommates. Legend has it we had greater than 100 eggs and 5 lbs of red meat on hand at all times. I have great memories of being treated as one of the family at many of the Maxson family gatherings. I was also honored to stand next to Aaron as he married the love of his life, Kate. Although Aaron is younger than me, I look up to his family values. I’m thankful for his friendship and proud to have him by my side at the wedding.

Bill Klaurer

Officiant

Bill Klaurer and I met circa 2012 when I first moved to Manhattan Beach. We met at Southbay Crossfit and bonded over our hatred for burpees and love of the 49ners. Bang Bang 9ner gang! We have countless amazing beach day and Shellback memories. What I admire most about Bill is his unwavering positivity. It doesn’t matter what challenge is thrown his way, you know his mental strength will overcome it. During the course of our friendship, I had the pleasure of attending his bachelor party and his beautiful wedding. During these events, I met his border friend group, all of which were an extension of Bill’s friendly and grounded demeanor. These days Bill is chasing his two young boys around the house about 30 mins from Brittany and me. We’re still working on executing our master plan to recruit Bill and Lia (his wife) back to the South Bay. Brittany and I couldn’t be more excited to have Bill officiate our wedding.
