We met New Year's Eve of 2022. Ryan was in Raleigh, NC for NYE visiting Zak & Emily Wagner, who were travel nurses in Raleigh at the time. Ramsey was in town from physician assistant school visiting her best friends for the holiday. We noticed each other pretty quickly—those classic across-the-room glances that feel like something out of a movie. Not long after, Ryan made his move… with a kazoo noise maker. Interesting move, but it worked—we ended up dancing all night. Ryan kept cracking jokes and offered to buy Ramsey a drink (it was an open bar). Nonetheless, she was smitten by his antics (and she still is today). At 11:49pm Ramsey texted her ENTIRE family group chat "guys i think i found the guy i'm gonna marry". A bold claim... but she wasn’t wrong. Meanwhile, Ryan was making jokes calling Ramsey his "Wife" and saying he could make it to the jewelry store before midnight. So, i guess love at first sight is real! Although.... then midnight rolled around and Ryan was seemingly missing...he was watching the ending of The Ohio State game...obviously. 12:02 am rolled around and Ryan came running and we had our 12:03 am New Years first kiss! Ryan ended up coming back to Sydney and Joey’s place with Ramsey’s friends—and let’s just say, the interrogation began immediately. Her friends were on it—they even took a picture of his driver’s license, you know… for “security purposes”. We spent all night talking and then shared a twin air mattress, next to Harper Eisen, who was on her own twin air mattress... memorable first night! The next day, Ryan invited Ramsey to Partee Shack (mini golf) with his friends...We never really stopped talking from there. Flash forward though 1 year and 4 months of long distance and Ryan moved to North Carolina....and well kids... That's How I Met Your Mother.....our favorite love story.
