We met through a mutual friend in March of 2020 in Cedar City, Utah, and began officially dating in April. Life has been a spectacular blur ever since then! Dating through the COVID pandemic provided unique circumstances that allowed us to spend extra time together, forced us to find alternative dates and activities, and brought us closer together than we could have ever imagined. Mandy eventually moved from Cedar City to Provo to be closer to Brandon and to attend UVU, where Brandon was enrolled. Mandy met Rhyan, Brandon's precious daughter, in the Fall of 2020 and the two have loved each other ever since. We knew very quickly in our journey that there was something special, rare, and incredible between us, and we continued to grow the care and love that we had for one another. And eventually.....

In May of 2021, we took a trip to Southeastern Florida. Mandy was pretty sure that "The Question" was going to be popped on the trip, but did not know exactly when, where, or how. However, Brandon wasted no time. On the first day of the trip, May 24th, we drove out to Key Biscayne, Florida, an island off of the coast near Miami. After beginning a walk on the white sand beach, and with the Cape Florida Lighthouse and ocean in the background, Brandon dropped to one knee and asked Mandy if she would marry him. She said YES! (With a hidden photographer capturing the moment on camera!) The rest of the day and night were spent on a private, docked sail boat. We felt on top of the world and were completely overwhelmed with love and happiness. We were able to kayak to nearby small islands and watch the sunset over the Miami skyline and the ocean. It was a truly amazing day that brought us to the chapter that we are in now - our engagement!
