Ella and Abby met in the spring of '22 at church and instantly bonded over a shared love for fashion. Of course, not too long after, Ella departed on a 10 week mission trip on the other side of the country. Their first real heart-to-heart happened the following fall at the Glendora Holiday Walk over slices of Domenico’s pizza (RIP) and decided right then and there that they would be friends. Since that night, they’ve been inseparable. Through every season, the Lord has been so kind in weaving their lives together, giving them the gift of friendship when they needed it most. Now, as Ella steps into marriage, she couldn’t imagine anyone else but Abby standing by her side as Maid of Honor!
Brandon Hwang
Best Man
As the groom’s older brother, Brandon has always been a role model, mentor, and best friend. From an early age, he shared his love of nerdy hobbies with Chris, sparking countless adventures that bonded them through Chris’s teenage years and Brandon’s time in college. Any chance Chris had to hang out with his older brother, he jumped at it. Whether it was playing music together, staying up late playing board games, or just talking about the hard questions that only an older brother can answer, Brandon has always been a steady source of support, laughter, and inspiration. It’s only fitting that he stands beside his brother as best man.

Brianna became a part of Ella’s life when Ella was just 16. From the very beginning, Ella thought she was the coolest person ever (way too cool to be marrying her brother!). Over the years, Bri has been more than just a sister-in-law; she’s been a role model, a source of unwavering strength, and a living example of what it means to give God thanks in every season. From life’s challenges to the joy of stepping into motherhood, Brianna has shown Ella the beauty of resilience, grace, and faith. Her words of wisdom have left a lasting mark on Ella’s heart, and she feels truly blessed to call such an inspiring woman her older sister.
Tucker Lewis

Tucker and Chris first met in junior high youth group. Chris wasn’t the biggest fan of Tucker, but over the years their relationship grew. First as coworkers, then friends, then roommates, and now as groomsmen (Chris was one of Tucker’s groomsmen!)— they’ve been walking with each other through every season of life, even when miles apart. They’ve shared custody of their beloved cat, Avocado, and continue to roll dice together in Dungeons & Dragons campaigns. Tucker’s loyalty and friendship have been constants in Chris’s life, making him an irreplaceable part of the wedding party.
Olivia Totten

Olivia is more than just Ella’s friend from college, she’s one of the most honest, loyal, and steady people in Ella’s life. Over the years, Olivia’s kind and gentle soul has been a constant source of comfort and encouragement, whether they were studying side by side in a coffee shop, lying on the floor of their shared bedroom, or going through a Love Island binge phase. Their friendship has been filled with laughter, tears, and countless sweet memories. Olivia always shows up with a new brand or store recommendation, but more importantly, she shows up with her whole heart. To Ella, she’s not only a roommate or a best friend — she’s one of life’s greatest gifts and most faithful encouragers, with the best sense of humor!

Chris met Will through the maid of honor, Abby, but it didn’t take long for them to become fast friends. Bonding over film, Radiohead, and the mind-bending works of sci-fi and fantasy legends like Philip K. Dick and Ursula K. Le Guin, their conversations quickly turned into hours-long deep dives. To Chris, Will feels like a true twin soul—someone who just gets it. Chris can throw out the most obscure reference, and Will will be right there with him, nodding in understanding, while Abby and Ella watch in amusement as the two of them yap away like they’ve been doing it for years. At the end of the day, they’re just two weird little guys—and Chris wouldn’t have it any other way.

Though their story began with a bit of rivalry, Andrea’s road to Ella’s heart is one of her absolute favorites. Because their relationship started in a unconventional way, it’s no surprise that their friendship truly blossomed when Andrea actually moved to Spain for a semester in college. Through daily Snapchat videos and Marco Polos, they built a bond across oceans (so dramatic, I know) with Ella watching every video like it was her own personal YouTube vlog. From that point on, they were stuck with each other! Despite Andrea being, without question, one of the weirdest people Ella knows (ask about the crazy eyes), she also has one of the biggest, most loyal hearts. She loves her people fiercely, never gives up on them, and brings a depth of friendship that’s rare and beautiful. Ella feels incredibly lucky to be counted among those Andrea holds close.
Kevin Kress

At this point, no one’s quite sure how many times Kevin has been a groomsman—he’s basically a professional. It's truly a testament to how Kevin has made a lasting impact on so many of the young men at church. He naturally steps into the role of mentor or older brother, offering wise words, spiritual encouragement, and a calming presence that makes people feel seen and supported. He’s also just a genuinely fun person to be around—always ready to listen, quick to laugh, and never hesitating to open his home. As a father, Kevin is gentle, present, and full of grace, and Chris deeply admires the way he leads his family with quiet strength and authenticity. Chris feels incredibly lucky to have Kevin as a trusted friend, mentor, and support. Not just on this day, but always!
Sammie Foster

Ella met Sammie at the airport on the way to a mission trip in Ocean City, New Jersey. Little did she know she was meeting a lifelong friend. For those unforgettable 10 weeks, they were a dynamic duo: driving with the windows down, sharing music, biking across the island, and laughing until they cried (basically every day). Sammie holds a special sliver of life with Ella — one that’s uniquely theirs and filled with joy, God's faithfulness, and deep connection. What makes their friendship even more beautiful is that it didn’t fade with distance. Every year since they left Ocean City, they’ve made the effort to visit each other, keeping the bond just as strong as day one. Sammie is a true light in Ella’s life, and she feels incredibly lucky to have her by her side on such a special day.

Ella and Temesghen actually grew up together, attending the same school since they were 9 years old, but it wasn’t until college that their friendship truly began to take shape. Since then, Temesghen has become not only a close friend to Ella, but also a steady and uplifting presence in both her and Chris’s lives. When Chris met Temesghen through Ella, they quickly became fast friends bonded by a shared curiosity for all things nerdy. Whether it’s trying out a new hobby, driving to a concert, watching Gundam, or sharing a meal, Temesghen is always down for the next adventure. Both Ella and Chris are so thankful to have someone who has walked with them through so many different seasons—offering support, showing up with joy, and being a loyal friend through it all.
