Amicalola Falls is located in Amicalola State Park on Hwy GA52 near Dawsonville, Elijay, and Dahlonega. This beautiful waterfall cascades 600 feet to a reflecting pool at the bottom. A walkway that goes from the bottom to the top of the falls was completed late in 2001. A paved walkway begins near the reflecting pool at the bottom of the falls. The walkway passes along a series of cascades and about one-third of the way up becomes a combination of viewing platforms and steps to the top affording spectacular views of this outstanding attraction. Parking is available at the bottom, at the top, and near the middle of the falls so it is possible to start the walk from either the middle, top or bottom.

Here are some tips for your next visit! You DO NOT need a reservation for the wine tasting unless you have more than 8 guests in your party. However, we do reach max COVID capacity at times and have to close our gate, so tastings are first come, first serve. Please arrive very early in the day on the weekends to secure your spot. Tastings are offered beginning at 11am (THURS – SUN) with the last tasting starting at 4:15pm (since we close promptly at 5pm.) The tasting room is MUCH less busy early in the day, so try to arrive soon after we open at 11am. ALL outdoor tables at the tasting room are first come, first serve, so again please arrive early to secure a spot. Reservations are not required for the tasting room bar menu, but they ARE required for café lunch or brunch through OPENTABLE.COM. There is no outdoor seating available for café lunch or brunch and the brunch is a self-serve BUFFET STYLE brunch.
