We are the classic tale of two Penn Staters finding love in a hopeless place (Zeta Psi Fraternity). It all started on an unseasonably warm night (March 16, 2012 to be exact) in the spring at Penn State, and Zeta Psi was having an impromptu party. Nicole and her sorority sisters never miss a party, so the girls took their sundresses out of hiding and ran to their favorite fraternity. Chris and Nicole met on this perfect night among friends and started what would be our forever! If you ask Chris, he knew he loved Nicole the second he saw her that night. We casually dated on and off for over a year afterward until Nicole grew impatient and told Chris on April 2, 2013 that it was time to ask her to be his girlfriend. Chris lovingly obliged and we have been together ever since! Since 2013, we have both supported each other through graduations from Penn State and our graduate degrees. We survived long bus rides between State College and NYC to visit each other after college. We helped each other move in and out of 15 (!!!!!) total dorms and apartments over the years. We’ve cheered each other on before job interviews and grad school applications. We’ve been each other’s rock when the other needed it most. The list goes on, I mean it’s been a long time!!! On April 2, 2019, on our sixth anniversary, Chris took Nicole to Le Bernardin in New York City and asked her to marry him. She said yes! We both now call NYC our home and can’t wait to keep writing the rest of our story. But first, let’s party!! (Below is a picture of us the night we met.
