I didn't think anything of it because I just thought we were trying to get out of the valley for a bit. We were just walking down the pier enjoying the weather. We picked a spot where we wanted to take a picture. He went to the restroom so I was on the phone with my mom for a bit. When he returns, he tells me he found someone to take our picture. I got off the phone to get ready for the picture. Next thing you know, he drops down on one knee. My first reaction was to ask him what he was doing!!! I was so surprised.
