Our Engagement Story
We took a spontaneous trip to Seattle & Snoqualmie this past August - our first solo vacation together! In Snoqualmie, we stayed in a tiny cabin to enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
On our first full day in Snoqualmie, we hiked the Granite Mountain Trail. After much encouragement from Zach, we made it to the (near) peak of the mountain. Although I had my suspicions that Zach would propose on this trip, I let my guard down after the four-mile, 3500-foot elevation trek up. I thought, if anything, he would pop the question the moment we made it there! To my surprise, he did not!
After refueling with the best Caesar salad wraps, tastiest nectarines, and tons of water, I was ready to continue our hike (there were a ton of bugs up there, and we still had a ways to go), but Zachary wasn't ready to go quite yet. He said, "Wait, stand right there!" and got down on one knee! Of course, I said yes.
We had the best time in Washington and were so happy to come back home to celebrate - newly engaged!
Right after Amanda said, "yes!"
Zachary was not even a bit nervous!
