Mr & Mrs Duran 06.20.26

Unlike the traditional way people meet, we found each other online! We were both ready to find our next chapter in life and what better way than to scroll Facebook! We matched almost immediately, and the conversations were easy and flawless. We would spend hours on the phone just talking about life. We had so much in common, from family values to love for cheese! It would get late at night and this man would say goodnight, hang up the phone, and immediately call me back 5 min later saying "hi, what are you doing" like we hadn't just had a full conversation for hours. I guess he didn't want our conversation to end. This man was persistent and knew what he wanted. Two weeks into talking, not even meeting in person yet, this man showed me what a kind heart he had. It was a cold morning and I had mentioned my car had a bad battery and wouldn't start. This man proceeded to ask me what kind of car I drove. He then went during his lunch to buy a new battery, drove 30 min to me after work to come change my battery so that I wouldn't have to stand in the cold every morning trying to jump start my car anymore. I asked why he did that when he barely knew me and his response "no woman should ever have to struggle like that, especially in the cold". This man not only fixed my car and restored my faith in good men existing, but he also left behind the most beautiful rose inside my car for me to find later that day. He had captured my attention and wanted to get to know this man more. We went on a few dates, had the most magical time at beaches and eventually one day he tricked me into our first kiss. He said, "I want to show you something", he took me outside under a tree outside his home, he pointed up and there is was…. mistletoe! He looked at me and says "may I ?" as he leaned in for our first kiss. I had made him wait long enough for that kiss and come on its bad luck not to kiss under mistletoe! The moment he kissed me I knew he was my forever and my soul knew he was the one I would spend the rest of my life with. So, I’m thankful for my car having issues as it led me to finally meet the man of my dreams, my soon to be husband!
