First we have to thank Abraham and Jessica Ramirez. They introduced us when we went out for a friend's party on Mill Avenue. It was a crazy night and nothing went as planned so we ended up at Abe and Juan's parents house and led up to Sunday fun-day. During Sunday fun-day we planned a future trip to Huntington Beach in the following months. We looked forward to this trip and couldn't wait. Between that time we got to know each other a little bit better, we would stay up late and chat every chance we got. May came up and we were on our way to Huntington Beach. We enjoyed each other's company it was as if we have known each other forever. In that short of a time we both were in complete aww of each other, almost as if it was meant to be. The whole time was perfect. On Saturday night we went to dinner and we were having a good time that Juan asked me to be his girlfriend, I had no idea. It was the start of our adventures together.
Every year since we have been dating, we plan a nice vacation with our friends. By this time we have been dating for 5 years and have gone to many trips outside of the US. That year we decided to go to Puerto Rico where my mom Maria is from. We spent over a week in different parts of the Island and did different things like going to Old Town San Juan, to drinking the "Original" Pina Coladas. On one of those days we went to a smaller Island called Vieques to see the Bioluminescence Bay. Bioluminescence Bay is where the water lights up because of the algae that is in it. We spent all day touring the island on small golf carts- got to see black sand and, beautiful white sandy beaches, and cool local spots. At night we set off to see Bioluminescence Bay (Simply amazing highly recommend) and we went kayaking in the ocean/ bay area. It was an amazing experience and towards the end of the excursion (everyone knew that Juan was going to propose I was totally blind sided and had no idea). As we sat in the middle of the ocean in the Bioluminescence Bay Juan got our kayaks together and made a speech. I was running with emotions that I didn't hear most of until the last part where he took out the ring and asked me to marry him. I was so shocked excited didn't know what to think, that day finally had come. I was so surprised and had no idea this was going to happen. Once we got back to the bay he officially got on one knee and put the ring on my finger. The rest was history.
