Turquoise, living in Arizona, was visiting friends and family in Atlanta when she was invited to a homemade southern dinner at her friend's house. Little did she know, the evening would change the course of her life. Ramir, freshly returned from a deployment, was also invited to the dinner. His friend didn’t want to be the only guy in a house for a night of girl talk, so he asked Ramir to join in the fun. It turned out to be the perfect decision, as sparks flew between Turquoise and Ramir almost immediately. The night was filled with laughter, stories, and plenty of drinks, and before they knew it, the group had stayed up until 5 a.m., chatting and enjoying each other's company. As the night wound down and everyone began to part ways, Ramir, with a little nudge from his friend, mustered up the courage to ask Turquoise for her number. What began as a casual evening soon blossomed into a budding romance—though it wasn’t without its challenges. With Turquoise heading back to Arizona and Ramir deployed in Maryland, the couple found themselves navigating a long-distance relationship. But despite the miles between them, Ramir knew almost immediately that he wanted to take things further with Turquoise. Fast forward to April 3rd, 2023, when Ramir proposed to Turquoise in a stunning garden by the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington, DC. Surrounded by the beauty of the city and the love they had built over months of calls, visits, and unforgettable memories, Turquoise said yes, sealing the next chapter of their love story. Today, Turquoise and Ramir live in the DMV area, counting down the days until they say "I do" and begin the next adventure of their life together.
