The Haldi ceremony is a pre-wedding ritual where the bride and groom apply turmeric to their hands, face, and bodies to symbolize purification, blessings, and prosperity. This signifies a fresh start and positive energy for their future together. Lunch will be provided after the ceremony. Please consider wearing something you don't mind potentially getting dirty as we will be playing with turmeric and water.
7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Attire: Bright Colors (Traditional/formal clothing)
The Mehendi ceremony is a pre-wedding celebration where the bride applies intricate henna designs on her hands and feet, as it carries a multitude of symbolic meanings related to good luck, prosperity, and the future of the marriage. The Mehendi will be followed by a Sangeet with nights of singing, dancing, and games before the bride and groom officially get married.
8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Attire: Traditional Indian or Nepali Clothing (PLEASE DO NOT WEAR RED AS BRIDE WILL BE WEARING THIS COLOR) (The ceremony will be on the beach, please wear comfortable shoes)
The Baraat ceremony will begin around 7:30am. This is a wedding procession where the groom will be escorted by his friends and family towards the venue by dancing to lively music before he is greeted by the bride's family. After the Baraat, the traditional Hindu ceremony will begin around 10:00am and will last around two hours. Vegetarian brunch will be provided after the ceremony is complete. Come see the bride and groom finally tie the knot!!!
6:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Attire: Traditional or Formal Attire (i.e. suits, lehengas, dresses) (Bride will be wearing Dark Purple/Wine color)
The evening will start with a cocktail hour at 6pm with light refreshments and snacks. The wedding reception will follow immediately around 7:00pm for a final hurrah- a night of dancing, speeches, dinner, & drinks. Come celebrate Santhosh & Krisha's start to a happy married life!
