Michael and I first met at the police department in 2019, when I was in training to become an officer and he was serving as a supervisor. He noticed me during PT runs, and his humor with the team immediately caught my attention. What began as slow conversations quickly grew into something deeper, and before long we were inseparable. Michael has always had the gift of making me laugh and driving me crazy all in the same breath. Early in our journey, we were blessed with our son, and he became the heart of our story—the reason we knew we could be better together. Over the past six years, we’ve faced challenges, but through them we found strength, faith, and the blessings within ourselves and each other. We once said we would never marry again, yet love had other plans. Today, we stand here as proof that giving up has never been in our nature, and that true love is worth every step of the journey.
