We knew each other from high school but had never really spoken. We officially met at Sacramento State University and one day I ran into him at The Well (the university's gym). We said hi and talked for a bit. As he started walking away, I quickly asked if I could work out with him! That is when it all started. We started meeting up on campus most days of the week and next thing you know we were getting dinner, seeing shows, and going on other dates!

For years Rami has talked about us going on a trip to Seattle. When we finally booked the trip, I had no clue it would ultimately be the start of our next chapter! On our second day there; Rami had rented a boat for us to cruise all around Lake Union. As we approached one of the nearby docks, he had put the boat into neutral for us to take in the panoramic view. Coincidentally, I had put on our favorite romantic song. A few moments later, Rami had gotten on one knee. I remember hearing the song, listening to his voice, looking into his eyes, and seeing the ring, as if time had stopped (all while I was balling my eyes out). It was such a perfect moment! All while this was so overwhelming, his plan was not over! While still on one knee, he pointed over to a nearby dock to have me find my parents and sister all standing there. We then pulled over to load them all onto the boat, popped some champagne and enjoyed the time we had on the lake.
