Zach and I met in 2019 at WVU Law School, though at the time we barely knew each other. We weren’t in the same friend group and didn’t really hang out. To Zach, I apparently gave off what he lovingly describes as “head cheerleader vibes.” To me, Zach was just a friend of a friend. Everything changed during our third year of law school at a mutual friend’s birthday party. As usual, I arrived right on time… and as usual, Zach showed up an hour late. When I got up to use the bathroom and came back, Zach was sitting in my seat. I remember thinking, What on earth am I going to talk to Zach Ramey about? Turns out — everything. We talked all night, ended up at 99-cent mixed drinks, and from that point on, we were inseparable. Almost immediately, I knew this was something different. Fast forward two years, two bar exams, two dogs, one house, and on May 2nd 2024, in Paris — underneath the Eiffel Tower in Trocadéro Square — Zach popped the question.
