Thank you so much for visiting our wedding website, we are so excited to celebrate with many of you in just a few short months! It will be such a blessing to us to have so many witnesses to both the seriousness and the joyousness of the marriage covenant we will be making. It is our deepest desire that our ceremony, reception, and life together after are a living example of what Biblical marriage was created to be: a picture of the love of Christ for His people and a reminder of His sacrifice on the cross to eternally save us. We ask that you help us in honoring the ultimate reason for our marriage and keep this in mind throughout our marriage ceremony and the festivities to follow. We would be so grateful to have you celebrate with us and hope to see you there! With love, Raleigh and Heather
One weekend last Fall, Raleigh and his roommates decided to plan a hike for our campus ministry group chat. Heather couldn't decide if she should go or not since she wouldn't know anyone, but decided on a whim to grab a ride and head to the hike! Low and behold, the only people on the hike were Raleigh and his roommates. We talked here and there throughout the hike, but Heather didn't think much of the interaction. The next morning Raleigh got Heather's number, called her, and asked her to coffee. The next Saturday they grabbed a coffee at Next Door Bake Shop, and the rest is history!
Raleigh and Heather love Waffle House, it is their go to meal any time of day. In fact, he asked her to be his girlfriend over the Waffle House All Star Combo. One particular Saturday, Raleigh had told Heather they were going to a salsa dancing class at 11am. He picked her up from her apartment a bit ahead of time and asked if she wanted to grab breakfast before going dancing. Heather didn't even bother to ask where, she knew it would be Waffle House. They walked down the row of tables and reached one that was set up with a white table cloth, candle, sparkling cider, and champagne glasses. That was when she knew. Raleigh got down on one knee and popped the question, and of course she said "yes!" If you hadn't figured it out yet, there was no salsa dancing class!
