We were introduced by the Matron-of-Honor, who at the time was only dating one of Alex's Bestmen. Raleigh needed a date to her sorority spring formal and after suggesting her boyfriend's younger brother, Clare specified that we would either "hit it off completely or hate each other, nothing in-between." Lucky for her, it was the former.

Raleigh may now have trust issues. Alex had been planning a celebratory trip to Cincinnati, stirring up ideas in Raleigh's head about the big question being popped back at their old stomping grounds from college. Then came the weekend prior to the mis-leading Cincinnati trip, the Maid of Honor intentionally took the soon-Bride-to-be out to dinner to provide the perfect amount of time for Alex to set-up some battery-operated tea lights and get the bowtie on Raleigh's other favorite man, her pooch Duke. On the way home, Raleigh noticed Alex's car parked in the normal spot, and said "that's weird, I'm going to look inside to make sure it's his!" With some skeptic thoughts, she got the mail and rolled up to her home. Nothing was moving inside, no barking from the dog, nothing out of the ordinary. NOPE. She opened the door and Duke ran to her with a bowtie and Alex was trying to get her to focus and stop screaming "I knew it was your car." Raleigh then awkwardly laughed through Alex's profession of love and when he got down on one knee, she already started saying yes, interrupting him continuously. At least he knows she meant it. They then shook their heads at their inability to be cute in front of anyone (there's a video for those of you who may be lucky to see it, courtesy of MOH Olivia) while celebrating with bubbly and Raleigh's parents. If only he had moved his car.
