Luis and Emily actually met on a dating app (like a lot of couples now a days). Emily couldn’t help but notice how handsome Luis was, especially in the picture with his firefighter gear on. The two talked for awhile before deciding to meet in person. Funny story, Emily actually canceled their first date and if it weren’t for Luis' perseverance and go with the flow attitude, we wouldn’t be where we are today. When they did meet in person they shared some drinks and conversation at Brewsters Beer Garden. It was an instant connection and the two really hit it off. Luis was sweet and shy, a great counterpart to Emily’s loud, chaotic personality. The two dated casually for awhile before making things official. Since that first date, the couple have shared lots of trip and adventures together, bonded over their work in health care, watched too many Disney movies, shared a love for dutch bros coffee and continue to spoil their beloved fur babies Arlo, Goose and Maverick. Luis was there supporting and cheering Emily on through the final semesters of nursing school and Emily now gets to return the favor as Luis embarks on the journey to becoming a law enforcement officer. It was always clear they were going to be together forever, but Luis decided to make it official on one particularly beautiful Saturday in August. The couple were celebrating their new home with their friends when Luis got down on one knee and asked the big question. Emily was stunned and speechless but of course managed to say "yes"! Who knew that a casual meet up at Brewsters would turn into a lifetime of love and happiness. Like the best Luke Combs song, "Maybe some things last forever after all." For Emily and Luis this is just the beginning of their forever and they can’t wait to celebrate with all their family and friends.
