As you may already know, Rakhee and Arnav are college sweethearts. They met during their freshman year at Tufts as part of the annual Indian culture show where Rakhee was the choreographer of the freshman dance. What Arnav lacked in dancing skills, he made up for with relentless persistence and after a few long months, Arnav was finally able to charm Rakhee into going on a date. Their first date was in the historic North End district in Boston and since then, their journey together has taken them on dates all over the world!

The proposal took months of careful planning to pull off, requiring Arnav to come up with an elaborate scheme. For Rakhee's birthday, Arnav told her he had planned a trip to Denver. In the weeks leading up to the trip, Rakhee made a detailed itinerary, looked into ski rentals and packed her winter clothes. A few hours before their flight, Arnav surprised her by telling her that they were actually booked to go to Paris and soon after they arrived, he proposed on a balcony overlooking the city! They spent the rest of the weekend roaming the romantic streets of Paris and enjoying being newly engaged!
