Things To Do

Apalachicola is one of our favorite places for a weekend day trip. Shane first took Madison here in 2020 and they have been regulars ever since. On November 25, 2023 he proposed to Madison on the docks of Apalachicola. Below are a few of the restaurants and shops we frequent in the area along with some additional activities we feel some of our out-of-town guests may enjoy. We're so excited to share a few of our favorite places in the area with you!

Camp Gordon Johnston WWII Museum in Carrabelle is presenting two special exhibits in the month of December. The focus of one exhibit will be on commemorating the Anniversary of Pearl Harbor and the focus of the other exhibit will be on exploring Christmas During the War. These two exhibits will open Tuesday, December 3, 2024 and be on display until Saturday, January 4, 2025. The museum is open every Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm and there is no charge for admission.

St. George Island, FL A short trip across the bridge (about 20 mins), SGI offers crisp blue waters & white sand beaches. Check out a few of our favorite restaurants if you visit: The Blue Parrot, Harry A's Bar & Grill, or Paddy's Raw Bar. Port St. Joe Twenty-six minutes past Apalachicola is the small town of Port St. Joe. Port St. Joe offers beaches, the Cape San Blas light house, and Rockin' M Ranch beach horseback riding. For a bite to eat, check out Quatro Locos tacos!

Apalach is home to several great breweries & bars: -Oyster City Brewing -Eastpoint Brewing is a short 10 minute ride across the bridge (try the pizza!) -The Apalachicola Yacht Club is a cute bar with many local beers -High Five Dive Bar -Apalachicola Ice Company (has pool tables & games)
