Swetha and Raj first met on the 4th of July at a mutual friend’s boat party. They chatted for just about 10 minutes or so and went their separate ways. Three months later, they met again at the same friend’s Halloween party, where the real fireworks began. They began talking more and Swetha broke ground by extending an invite to Raj for her Friendsgiving potluck. Raj then got the ball rolling further and asked her out on their first date. From then on, Swetha and Raj made everlasting memories on their many travels, the first of which was NYC- where the first of many “I love you’s” was exchanged. They then embarked on greater journeys to Japan, Jamaica, and more. In fact, the Japan trip was pivotal for Raj as that was the turning point for when he decided to plan on proposing to Swetha. One beautiful summer evening in June, he got down on one knee and popped the question. Raj did indeed “Swey” her. Swetha and Raj’s relationship is filled with adventures, movie nights, Ramen outings, and the nightly rounds of nerdy New York Times games (you know what we’re talking about, Wordle and Connections enthusiasts). They both could not be more elated to share their journey and celebrate their love with the people most special to them - all of you!
