Rajdeep and Neha first met on October 3, 2012, in their Grade 9 math class. Neha had just transferred to a new high school and was sitting beside the only person she knew. Unfortunately for Rajdeep, that also happened to be his seat. Running late to class, Rajdeep walked in and spoke the first words he would ever say to Neha: "You're in my seat." Needless to say, Neha wasn't convinced she'd just met her future husband! The seating arrangement eventually worked itself out, and the three classmates quickly became friends. Between studying, chatting, and surviving math class together, Neha even found herself helping Rajdeep with his homework from time to time. As the months went on, Rajdeep started to see Neha as more than just a math tutor and friend. The two spent more and more time together, and Rajdeep wanted their relationship to be something more. Neha, however, wasn't quite ready yet. That changed in April of the same school year when Neha surprised Rajdeep with a handwritten note and a Caramilk chocolate bar asking him to be her boyfriend. Classic high school romance! From that day on, they've been inseparable. They were each other's prom dates, supported one another through university and college, and built a lifetime of memories through countless adventures and travels together. In 2024, during a trip to Greece, Rajdeep proposed to Neha and this time she said yes right away! Now, exactly 14 years after they first met in that Grade 9 math class, Rajdeep and Neha will be getting married on October 3rd, proving that sometimes the best love stories really do start with, "You're in my seat."
