One of the natural wonders of Oregon, this pristine area in the centre of the state is well worth the trip, whether it's for a quick stop to look out from one of the great viewpoints near the park's entrance or to properly explore by heading down into the canyon for a hike. The Old Mill District has Bend restaurants, shopping, IMAX movie theater, outdoor concerts, bike trails, and the Deschutes River. The Deschutes River is one of the most spectacular rivers in the region. A great way to enjoy it is from a canoe, kayak, paddleboard or by floating. Pilot Butte is the biggest landmark in the city of Bend. This extinct cinder volcano is visible from almost everywhere in the city and its summit surpasses expectations with knock-out views of over Bend toward high desert landscapes and snowcapped Cascade Mountains. A must see for anyone visiting Bend, Oregon!
The Cascade Lakes are a series of 14 lakes set within the Cascade Mountain Range in Oregon. The drive takes you past the many shimmering alpine lakes, starting with Todd Lake, through pristine forest and incredible ancient volcanic landscapes, all the while surrounded by incredible mountain peaks. A great area to hike, paddle board, or enjoy lakeside on a day we don't have any wedding festivities.
