It was the aftermath of a 2017 blizzard in Passaic, where Raj rode out the blizzard at his best man’s house. While everyone shoveled out their cars, Raj’s eye caught Shruti’s attention in the far end of the parking lot. Raj finally mustered up some courage and landed the greatest pick-up line of all time, “Hey!” As we spent time together, we soon realized our values and cultures were aligning symmetrically. The more we grew and learned, the more indivisible we had become. Quickly it had become apparent to us that we were much more than friends and wanted to explore our journey together. Join us as we continue to write the next chapters in our lives.
It was a cold and sunny fall day when the girls and I (Shruti) planned to have a girl's night out in the city. Half-way into our trip, the girls surprised me with the dress I had been safe-keeping for this exact moment. Soon after, I was blindfolded and the suspense was unbearable. When the blindfold came off, tears of joy flooded, and I found Raj down on one knee holding "The Box", asking "Will you marry me?" A 1000x YES! We were able to cherish this moment with laughs and stories followed by a surprise dinner that Raj planned with some of our closest family and friends to end the evening.
