We're getting married!

Ruby and a friend were out catching up shortly after she moved back to the Bay Area in late March of 2016. The subject turned to boys and Ruby's friend mentioned that she went to grade school with someone that had also recently moved back to the Bay Area and that the 2 should meet. Ruby gave in to the peer pressure and her friend messaged Raja to see if he was interested. Raja received this text with some confusion, mainly because it was 1AM on April 1st, Fool's Day. Half-certain this was a joke and half-curious of whether it was not, Raja agreed to chat with Ruby. After exchanging some texts, they decided to meet in person to get to know each other over dinner. Raja, still not sure what to expect, arrived at the Italian restaurant in San Pedro Square he had made reservations at after quickly changing out of his hospital scrubs. Unfortunately, he only brought one pair of shoes - bright red Nike's he wore to the OR that could never get stained. Raja got a table at the restaurant and sat facing the window wondering who would walk in. It started to drizzle outside and get darker. Raja looked up and his eyes caught a bright smile and the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen. Ruby walked past the window, into the restaurant, and over to him. Raja and Ruby hugged, they both looked down at his shoes, and each wondered what they had gotten themselves into.
