Wedding Party

Gabriella Schuett

Maid of Honor

Gabriella and Katie met on the bus heading to their first day of second grade. From then on, they were best friends (and they always will be). Gabriella became close with Zach through their mutual love of Katie and of rugby. 22 years later, Katie is still Gabriella’s favorite human on this planet, and she is over-the-moon-excited to watch her best friend marry the man of her dreams.

Jake Dilbeck

Best Man

Jake has declined to comment on the marriage.

Allie Sainsbury

Bridesmaid

Allie and Katie met during their first week of college in the grimy dorms of Brumby Hall at UGA. It was over a gallon box of goldfish that Katie was so generously sharing that Allie knew they would be best friends! From then on they shared many fun memories together over the years from $1 Yuenglings at Cutters to numerous visits to Charlotte where Allie currently resides. Eventually, Zach made a trek to Charlotte and Allie saw something different in him and the love Katie and he shared and the rest was history!

Casey Cargle

Groomsman

Casey first met Rainwater when he was a prospective roommate moving back into the Fortress (their college house) during their time at Georgia Southern, and he’ll be the first to admit, he was skeptical. Little did Casey know he was about to meet one of his best friends. Casey and Zach have since been roommates three separate times and have now been close friends for over ten years. On their third go-around, Casey also met Katie, who quickly became a close friend and confidant. Casey can’t imagine a better partner for one of his best buds, and he couldn’t be happier for them both!

Ryan Eichwald

Bridesmaid

Katie and Ryan always seemed to have had invisible strings tying them together for the past two decades. No matter how many times the world tried to snip apart the stitches, they always found a way to mend the fabric of their lives back together and stronger than before. The first tiny little thread was a mutual friendship, that grew with a shared love of high school theater, and became a strong braid after living together for 2.5 years. She is blessed to have watched Katie grow into the confident, beautiful, and kind woman that she is, and is overjoyed to see her marrying the love of her life. She thinks Zack is pretty okay too.

Raj Shelat

Groomsman

Zachary and Raj met in 2017 inside a dark, dingy, smelly jail. They were young and eager to be good cops. Their partnership blossomed into a beautiful friendship that Raj cherishes with every fiber of his heart. Rain has seemingly been by Raj's side at every turn: from their days as rookie cops to their nights as masters of Lassiter’s trivia. When Raj first met Katie, he quickly learned that she is the kindest person. Her warmth, grace, and humor matches perfectly with Zach- and together they create not only a beautiful couple on the inside, but more importantly- on the outside. They’re the hottest friends Raj has. Congratulations to the Rainwater and Reid families in this beautiful unison and Raj is grateful to be a part of the festivities!

Megan Blais

Bridesmaid

Megan and Katie met during their first year of grad school and became close through group hangouts and classes shared. When the apartment across the hall from Katie’s eventually became vacant, it was a no-brainer for Megan to move in. They’ve since been neighbors for 3 years (and hopefully many more). When Zach moved in to Katie’s, Megan got to know and experience their love and friendship in such a personal and impactful way. Megan is thrilled to watch two people she cares so deeply for start the next chapter of their life together.

Nate Godard

Groomsman

Zach and Nate met through Casey soon after college. The three of them became roommates in Nate's condo in Marietta and hit it off immediately. Zach and Nate shared a love for film, TV, sports, and of course Nate's old cat Tegra whom Rain got to befriend at the ripe age of 20. Between having many mutual friends from Georgia Southern and the Marietta area and of course living together they felt like old friends in a very short period of time. After they started dating Katie immediately felt like a long-time close friend as well, which is the case for most people who meet her. She’s always brought out the best in Zach and has become a valued friend to Nate as well. The two are a great match, and Nate couldn’t be happier for them. Nate is honored to be a small part of their special day. Cheers to the happy Couple!

Taylor Smith

Bridesmaid

Taylor and Katie met working at Local Republic and quickly became inseparable for the two years they worked together. Their friendship was lucky enough to make it out of the work place and through many different chapters in each other’s lives. Katie called Taylor after her first date with Zach, and Taylor knew this one was different. She couldn’t be more excited to see her best friend marry the love of her life!

Ryan O'Neal

Groomsman

Zach and Ryan kiss on the lips.

Chandler Malone

Officiant

Hi everyone! For those of you who may not know me, I’m Chandler, and I have the absolute honor of officiating the wedding of the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Rainwater. Katie and I went through all of our formal schooling together. From Brookwood Elementary to the University of Georgia, we somehow managed to grow up side by side. But it was in college that our friendship truly found its stride, and I can honestly say I’m incredibly grateful to call her one of my closest friends. Over the years, we’ve shared so many memories — trips to Chicago, Pensacola Beach, and Blue Ridge, countless car rides singing along to our Spotify blend, and quiet nights at home experimenting with new recipes. It’s in those everyday moments, big and small, that I’ve come to cherish our friendship the most. I met Zach early on in his relationship with Katie, and it didn’t take long to see what everyone here already knows — he’s a keeper. The way he loves Katie, supports her, and shows up for her made it clear from the very beginning that he was here to stay. I am truly honored to stand with them today and to help celebrate the love that brought us all here.
