Travel Note
Dear Guests, We are so incredibly grateful that you’re making the trip to celebrate our wedding with us in Ravello. It means the world to us that you’re traveling all this way, and we want to make your journey as smooth and enjoyable as possible. We visited the Amalfi Coast this past summer and instantly fell in love with its charm, views, and peaceful atmosphere. Since we’ve made the trip recently, we’re more than happy to share tips and help with any planning along the way. - Getting to Italy - The two best airports to fly into from the U.S. are Naples (NAP) and Rome (FCO). Naples is the closest to the Amalfi Coast, though most flights from the U.S. connect through European hubs like Rome, London, Paris, or Frankfurt. Rome offers more nonstop flights and can sometimes be more affordable. - Reaching Ravello - From Naples, it’s just over an hour by car to Ravello. From Rome, you can take a high-speed train to Salerno (about 2 hours), followed by a car to Ravello (about 60–75 minutes). The final stretch up to Ravello is best done by car. We highly recommend booking a private transfer in advance—it’s the most comfortable and reliable option, especially with the winding coastal roads.
Travel Note
- Where to Stay in Ravello - Ravello offers a mix of charming Airbnbs, boutique hotels, and a few truly stunning luxury properties. You really can’t go wrong—everything is walkable, peaceful, and beautifully scenic. We recommend staying in Ravello if possible, simply for ease of getting to and from the wedding events. If accommodations in town fill up or you prefer a different setting, the neighboring towns—such as Scala**, Minori, Maiori, and Amalfi—are wonderful options too. Do note that if you choose to stay outside of Ravello, you’ll want to pre-arrange transportation to the events, as taxis and on-demand rides in the area can be limited, especially at night or during busy seasons. We’re happy to provide recommendations or help you evaluate the best option based on your plans. - A Few Notes From Our Own Trip - Public transportation is available but can be slow and involve multiple connections. If possible, try to arrive during daylight hours—the drive is smoother and the scenery is unforgettable. And truly, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like help—to share drivers we used, planning tips, or anything else you need. Thank you again for making this journey to celebrate with us. Ravello is such a magical place, and we can’t wait to share it with all of you.
