PSA to Friends and Family WEDDING UPDATE/ANNOUNCEMENT As I’m sure many of you have seen by now, Hunter and I decided to officially tie the knot on Monday, March 7th. We know that this may have come as a surprise to some of our loved ones after wedding plans had long been in the works, and wanted to take the opportunity to update everyone and offer an explanation for the change in plans. After our engagement in September of 2020, our excitement for marriage continued to grow as we dove into planning this memorable day. We quickly came to realize though, as we are sure all of you know, life keeps you on your toes. Not only were we planning a wedding in the midst of a heavily regulated Covid world, but Hunter and I personally had to navigate and adapt to a number of unforeseen changes. Venues we fell in love with either weren’t taking on new events, or wouldn’t allow us to have all of our loved ones together in the same building due to capacity restrictions. The few available saw a supply and demand opportunity as COVID has no effect on the affairs of the heart, and costs continued to skyrocket. While incredibly hectic and stressful, we don’t want to downplay all of the positives that the last year brought into our lives. 2021 was also the year that made us official homeOWNERS. Hunter was offered a wonderful position with Georgia Pacific and took on the adjustment to night shifts and shutdowns—much better, might I add, than I did—with ease and excitement! Our family grew and Georgia became a big sister with the adoption of our baby girl Gypsy. With all of these extenuating circumstances and adjustments in our life, we realized that right now is not an ideal time for a ceremony. Hunter and I want the memories surrounding our celebration to be full of fun, family and friends. We want the new chapter of the life we are creating together to be a happy endeavor. ●●● Hunter and I have received a lot of questions regarding our registry, and first and foremost we wish for everyone to know that the love and support we’ve received not only as newlyweds, but our entire eight years as a couple, has been gift enough. If you wish to contribute further, we do have a registry and a honeymoon fund located on our website, or you can find our registry directly through Amazon. Our next big steps as newlyweds are to plan our honeymoon, maybe a housewarming party, and to take a long, long nap—for me at least! We wanted to thank everyone for understanding the reasoning behind our change in plans, and send a very heartfelt thank you for all the continued love and support we have received. We look around and feel so blessed within our lives.
