Friends and Family, we wanted to check in given the changing climate due to the coronavirus. Our wedding is going forward as planned and we’re excited to party with you. We are asking that everyone who attends our wedding be vaccinated or take a test 24 hours before.

Quaker-Style Wedding

The Wedding Website of Raina Beresniewicz and Martin Fleming
What exactly is a Quaker-style wedding you ask? Quaker weddings are a special type of ritual for which no officiant is needed to marry two parties, and Pennsylvania is among only a handful of states in which you can say “I do” via a self-uniting ceremony. The tradition has its roots in the Quaker faith, but uniting without an officiant is gaining popularity among people outside of the Quaker practice, like us! We attended a Quaker wedding and loved the experience so much we decided to adopt the format and add some personal touches to make it our own. We ask that you come to our wedding ceremony with an open mind and a full heart. There will be moments of silent reflection, opportunities for our family and friends to speak, and signing of the marriage certificate by everyone, even the kids! If you are still curious about this type of celebration check out this link: https://handandarrow.com/self-uniting-marriage
