It all started at a place called Atlas in November of 2021. Jarrod was the assistant director and Raina was the assistant clinical coordinator. Raina's first day on 'the floor,' she was placed on west side 1, where Jarrod was covering for another staff member. Raina and Jarrod spent that entire work shift talking, and not just about work – actually, there was very little work discussed that day. Raina knew there was something there from day one on the floor. Jarrod, however, was anchored to the professional code of conduct, trying to keep down what he felt towards Raina. But the heart had its own plan. Jarrod couldn't resist the gravitational pull towards Raina. From there, every workday, they found a way to connect or prolong their moments with each other, whether that be finding a reason to go into each other's offices, kicking a ball back and forth to each other during the morning arrival duty, Raina making rounds then stopping whenever she saw Jarrod, or knowing exactly where he was so she would just go hang out for a little bit, Jarrod coming to 'help' Raina during dismissal after all the clients had gone for the day, then they would walk back to the offices together. Jarrod realized the happiness he felt in Raina’s presence was worth the risk. By April, they had started to text each other outside of work. In May, Jarrod went over to Raina's place to build a desk – from there, he asked her to dinner. The two have been inseparable ever since.
