Suchita and Dinesh are the wonderful parents of Tara. Tara first met them when she was born. They have been an unending source of support and love for Tara and her brother Neil ... and now also for their two new children Rahul and Jasmine! Suchita and Dinesh live in Carmel, CA where they live with their chi-weenie Simba.
Suryaprakash and Vijaya Reddy
Parents of the Groom
Suryaprakash and Vijaya are Rahul's amazing parents. Though Rahul terrorized them as a child (crying, destroying the house, etc.), through it all they have been the most loving and supportive parents anyone could ask for. Now, they are beyond excited to finally have a daughter in Tara! They currently live in Crown Point, Indiana.
Erica Jacobson
Maid of Honor
Erica and Tara met in 2012 prior to law school even starting - a happy hour for future law students called the "0L extravaganza" - and it was love at first sight. From that point on, Erica and Tara were inseparable - from late night McDonald's runs, to "unicorn hair," to lobster rolls at Yamamoto (RIP), to always being there for each other when times got hard. Even when Erica and Tara no longer lived in the same city, they continued to text constantly and meet at least once a year. Tara knows she is so lucky to have a best friend like Erica. Erica is an attorney who lives in Denver with her wonderful fiance Jonathan.
Oscar Rosales

On the first day of medical school, Rahul and Oscar met over a cadaver and it was love at first sight. They are the textbook definition of the "Odd Couple", so strikingly different yet so freakishly similar. From the torture of medical school and residency to impossible to believe road trips and random nights out, as well as making the most ridiculous bets you can imagine, these two have been through it all together. They even survived the year that Rahul lived with Oscar and his wife as the resident basement troll! Oscar is an interventional radiologist who currently lives in Orlando with his amazing wife Amy and their three adorable children.
Vivi Schlemme

Vivi and Tara have been friends since second year of law school, where they sat next to each other and realized they had bought the same exact outfit for the upcoming Barrister’s Ball. Since then Vivi and Tara have shared countless adventures, from murdering fruit flies to patio drinking to Denver trips with their other best friend Erica. Fun fact - this picture represents the last time Vivi and Tara ever truly enjoyed a Mimosa! Vivi is a Senior Director at a marketing company in New York, where she lives with her lovely wife Adria, their son Walter, and Walter's little sister who is on the way!
James Yi

Rahul and James initially met in Greek mythology class during their junior year at Indiana University, but it wasn't until medical school where their everlasting friendship was forged in the fiery flames of lectures and tests and solidified over beers and post test drinking games. They were roommates for the last two years of medical school, during which time they proved to be excellent enablers of each others' gluttony. To this day, they can still rattle off each other's favorite thai food order down to the exact meat, spice level, and extra side of rice! After touring the world and serving our country as a Naval flight surgeon, James is practicing anesthesiology in Indianapolis, where he lives with his wonderful wife Jacyln.
Natasha Loomis

Natasha aka Batasha Bug has been part of Tara’s life since second grade where they bonded over convincing Natasha’s mom Tara’s name was actually Natara. Tara spent most of lower school, middle school, and high school inviting herself to enormous meals at the Loomis household. Natasha and Tara created a wealth of musical numbers during this time and will happily sing them for you on command. Natasha and Tara shared both an 18th birthday (see pic) and a 30th birthday. Please do not ask Natasha about Spanksgiving. Tara was a bridesmaid at Natasha's gorgeous wedding this July. Natasha is an accomplished flautist in Jersey City and is married to her awesome husband Rich.
Ruchin Patel

Rahul and Ruchin met in medical school through mutual friends, but soon became great friends. Like any good Indian boys, they bonded through competition -- drinking games and Mario Kart in particular. Always the most pragmatic amongst their friend group, Rahul relished in endlessly mocking him for this. As the years have gone by, their friendship has only gotten stronger as they frequently visit each other and travel together. Ruchin did the honor of having Rahul as one of his groomsmen an eternity ago (2010), and finally Rahul has the chance to repay him! Ruchin and his beautiful wife Alex live in Indianapolis with their two lovable kids where he practices as an ENT and facial plastics surgeon.
Mandy Ciarrocki

Mandy and Tara have been friends since 9th grade where they formed a trio with Natasha (except for the one year in high school Tara tried to be cool). Mandy has been Tara’s most unfailingly positive friend and has shared many ridiculous nights with her. Mandy is a champion crab eater and the only one to keep the place neat. Tara loves Mandy so much! Mandy lives in D.C.
Avinish Reddy
Groomsman
Avinish is Rahul's first friend, and after almost 30 years, their friendship is as close as ever! Brothers from other mothers, these two basically grew up together with frequent sleep overs, where they stayed up all night playing video games, board games, and, when they got older, watching the same rerun of SportsCenter long past midnight while having deep philosophical discussions. Even as they've transitioned to adulthood and developed separate social lives and interests, they've always sought advice and confided in each other. Whenever they get together, it's exactly like it was all those years ago. Avinish currently travels the country and world when he's not working as an internal medicine physician, but Rahul is crossing his fingers that he will soon settle back in Chicago!
Jasmine Nayak

Tara first met Jasmine in 2007 when she started dating Neil and Tara is extremely happy Jasmine is now her sister! Jasmine and Tara share a love of delicious foodz (no vegetarians here), wine tasting, and fun board game nights (pro tip - Jasmine is always the werewolf). Tara looks forward to a lifetime of siblings weekends with Jasmine. Jasmine is a internal medicine doctor finishing up her GI fellowship in Miami.
Neil Nayak

Rahul is extremely excited to have a new brother in Neil! They first met when Tara introduced them to each other in San Francisco over boiling broth at Tara's favorite Chinese hot pot restaurant. They quickly learned that they share many of the same passions -- sports (Bears vs Eagles was a major bummer for Rahul), hot sauce (a competition is already in the works), and strategy games (One Night Werewolf especially). Neil is married to his amazing wife Jasmine and is currently an ENT surgeon completing an otology fellowship in Sarasota, Florida.
Aarti Reddy

This wedding website would not exist if it was not for Aarti - since Tara and Rahul would never have met! (see our story for further details). Tara and Aarti met in 2014 when Tara moved to San Francisco and they were introduced by a mutual friend. Aarti and Tara immediately bonded over their love of wine, oysters, and impromptu dance parties. Tara knew she wanted to be part of Aarti's life forever and her nefarious plan of marrying Aarti's cousin in order to become legally related to her is almost complete (mwahaha...) Aarti is a bad-ass general litigator in San Francisco and is married to her soulmate Dev.
Brian Kelly

Brian, affectionately known as BFK, met Rahul in medical school during the first post test party, and it was clear they'd become great friends. They traveled together, attempted to play golf together (Rahul is terrible), attempted to play tennis together (Brian is terrible), and were actually successful at being great roommates during their internship year in Pittsburgh. It was at that time where they developed a Chandler and Joey like relationship with their dual reclining chairs as they sat and ate Chipotle or buffalo wings from the neighborhood bar while bonding over sports, Game of Thrones, and how awful work was. Brian is currently an orthopedic surgeon in Pittsburgh where he lives with his wonderful wife Erica and their newborn daughter.
Amanda Troxler

Amanda and Tara are former law school classmates who bonded in their single years with their weekly "date nights" where they would buy trader joe's french bread and pate to eat while watching scary movies. Tara was a bridesmaid at Amanda's wedding and caught the bouquet after the third toss! - only to find out Amanda was aiming the bouquet at her and didn't plan to stop throwing it until Tara caught it. Amanda and Tara are lovers of all animals, though Amanda's cat Fatty does not love Tara (except for the time when Tara fed Fatty Taco Bell). The above picture shows Tara and Amanda cuddling a baby piglet, so basically represents their happiest day ever. Amanda is a surrogacy attorney and lives in Los Angeles with her amazing husband Kevin.
Sean Calloway

Soccer, golf and craft beer are a few of the many things Sean introduced to Rahul after they met in medical school. Unfortunately for Rahul's beer belly, craft beer was the only one that really stuck. They share a love of sports and taking trips, and these two are definitely the most consummate trip planners you'll ever meet. Even when it doesn't seem possible, they will find a way to make it to a sporting event or group trip anywhere, anytime. To this day, Rahul still cannot comprehend Sean's dislike of cheese (Seriously, who doesn't like cheese? That's just freaking weird) but a few pints of a rare stout later and its all good between these guys. Sean currently lives in Indianapolis with his amazing wife Megan and baby boy, where he practices orthopedic surgery.
Sakthi Radhakrishnan

When Tara put out a Craigslist ad in 2016 for a new roommate, little did she know she would be gaining not just the best roommate ever but a sister for life! Sakthi and Tara, aka "dumpling sisters," a name they have coined for themselves, have spent countless hours "weaseling around," discovering new places, trying new beauty hacks, and speaking in “dumpling talk.” Tara even convinced Sakthi to go on a cruise with her, which led to the glorious photo above but traumatized Sakthi for life. Sakthi is a baller customer success manager in San Francisco.
Aakash Chauhan

Aakash and Rahul have known each other since medical school, but it was during their internship year in Pittsburgh where they truly bonded over beer and frequent trips to Burgatory. Rahul was there when Aakash met his wife and to this day they all still laugh about the crazy hi-jinx from that year. Aakash is famous for being a bit of a grump, but buried (very deeply) underneath that gruff exterior is a true heart of gold (he will deny this to the very end). Despite Aakash being a fan of the NY Mets and Washington DC football team (I refuse to type out their mascot name) which makes absolutely no sense, Rahul still considers him one of his best friends. Aakash is an orthopedic surgeon and lives in Naperville, IL with his beautiful wife Shipra and their two cute-as-a-button children.
Nakkisa Akhavan

Tara and Nakkisa met in law school. They bonded over their mutual love of Korean barbecue and all things delicious. While they no longer meet in the Bay Area whenever Nakkisa would visit her family, Tara is sure of many Chicago and Los Angeles trips in their future. Nakkisa is an attorney for the EEOC and lives in Los Angeles with her super great boyfriend Brian.
Sandeep Reddy

As a kid, Sandeep frequently visited his cousin Avinish (yep, the same guy above) and met Rahul. Friends for over 25 years, their friendship really took off when Sandeep moved to Indianapolis for anesthesia residency. Rahul soon became Sandeep's junior resident where they proceeded to confuse everyone in the department by having the same last name. Two years after Sandeep moved to Chicago, Rahul followed. They debate all things sports and even attended a Cubs-Cardinals playoff game a few years back where Rahul greatly enjoyed the ribbing Sandeep received for being a Cardinals fan. These days they work together where they have proceeded to confuse all of their co-workers by having the same last name. Sandeep lives in Chicago with his amazing wife Lalita and their two adorable boys.
