If you're not an Indian Citizen or OCI holder, yes you do! You can get an e-visa here: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/Registration. Please complete by Jan 30, 2026 and make sure you have a printed copy of your e-visa for the airport!
Airports in India only allow ticketed passengers to enter. It is important to do the web check in for your flight prior to entering the airport as security at some Indian airports scan your boarding pass/QR code/barcode in order to let you into the airport.
Uber is available in India. If traveling in India prior to or after the wedding and booking an Uber with luggage, please be sure to book an Uber XL as the Uber Premier (sedans) do not have space in their trunks for any luggage. Additionally, Uber Blacks are also a good option as they are generally more reliable and safer since the cars and drivers are vetted to a higher standard.
The currency is Indian rupees (INR) and cash is primarily used all over India, especially for cabs as well as local shopping. Cash can be exchanged at the airport or at any ICICI and HDFC ATMs.
