FAQs

Question

How did you crazy kids meet?

Answer

We matched on Hinge just as Hannah stopped checking it : / , so we REmatched on Bumble a year later.

Question

Is this really your third wedding?!

Answer

YES! We had a small, legal ceremony at the North Point Lighthouse in Milwaukee, WI, in November of 2023. On January 6, 2025, we got married in Kerala, India (Rahul's home state). And now here we are, celebrating with all of you at Olbrich Botanical Gardens--one of our favorite places in Madison!

Question

What else should we do while we're in town?

Answer

On Saturday morning, head to the Dane County Farmers' Market--the largest producer-only farmers’ market in the country! Don't sleep on the spicy cheese bread from Stella's! If you have kiddos, the Madison Children's Museum is a blast! Looking for time on/near the lakes? Head to Memorial Union Terrace for excellent sunsets, live music, ice cream, Wisconsin brews (if you're into that kind of thing), and impeccable vibes. You can also rent canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards at Olbrich Park (right across from the wedding venue) or many other locations around town.

Question

Where should we eat?

Answer

For excellent food, hit up some of the restaurants on Williamson (known locally as "Willy") Street! Some of our favorites are Ahan, Tex Tubb's, Buraka, Ama Kitchen, and Weary Traveler Freehouse. Staying near the capitol? Try Wisconsinite favorites at The Old Fashioned, pizza at Lucille, brunch at Marigold Kitchen, or anything at Mishqui Peruvian Bistro. Our favorite Mexican restaurant in town? El Sabor de Puebla--a great, affordable "hole in the wall" spot (305 N 4th St) with lovely staff and tasty sopes. Feeling like Indian? We recommend Amber Indian Cuisine or Kutty Leaf South Indian Kitchen. (You'll need to order from both if you won't have a car.)

Question

Is anything happening on Friday, June 5?

Answer

YES! If you're already in town, join us at Garver Feed Mill for drinks, dinner, and dancing! Details are in the "Schedule" tab under "Welcome Event."

Question

Where can I find a detailed timeline (including parking options) for Saturday?

Answer

Under the "Schedule" tab, in the "Our Ceremony and Reception" section!

For Dinner Spinach and baby kale salad with strawberries, shaved fennel, pistachios, micro greens, and balsamic vinaigrette Pesto gnocchi with oyster mushrooms, summer squash, and cherry tomatoes Thoran with carrots, beans, peas, and cabbage (contains coconut) Pavakka theeyal (bitter gourd in roasted coconut and tamarind gravy) with fried curry leaf (contains coconut) Basmati rice For Dessert Vanilla cheesecake, chocolate sponge, and strawberry compote covered in chocolate ganache from Simma’s Bakery Gluten free and dairy free cupcakes, made by Gina Bailey (Hannah’s mom). Please make sure the cupcakes are available to guests with these dietary needs first. Thank you!

Where can I get breakfast on Sunday morning?

Question

Dang! Who planned this wonderful weekend?

Answer

Hannah's parents, Gina and Mark, planned 93% of this beautiful weekend. They made this their part-time job for the last six months. We literally could not have done it without them! Please thank them for the good time when you see them! Mille fois merci, നന്ദി, and thanks a million, Mom and Dad! We love you to the moon and back.
