What started as something neither of us saw coming quickly became the thing we couldn't imagine living without. Fast? Maybe. Right? Absolutely. From the first conversation to the moment the question was asked, every step felt less like falling and more like finally arriving somewhere we were always meant to be. We call each other Sweetness & Baby. And honestly — that says it all.

That Backyard Party. 10/26/24 The day we met I found someone truly special, Sweetness, at dem damn Sanders surprise birthday celebration for Paula. Tamika was sitting by herself trying to keep warm, so I offered her a drink to help warm her up, she said “sure”. I ask for her number and she gave it to me, that started what would become a beautiful friendship between us. Texting started, shared laughs, conversations on the phone with no uncomfortable silence before we knew it 3-4 hours had gone by, discovering we had a lot in common. We worked different shifts, so quality time we would spend on Saturdays. I started calling her my Saturday love and she didn’t like the song I sent her no more by Alexander O’Neal. Tamika was very understanding when it came to me working midnights, she loved I was intentional and consistent, and we had nothing to worry about if we would be honest with each other. I said in my head, Mrs. Booker. I loved that we could talk about anything. We grew closer. You could feel that God had touched two hearts and I couldn’t stay away from her for too long. Sweetness&Baby started laying an unbreakable foundation, locked in and loving on each other ever since That Backyard Party. 10/26/24
