Believe it or not, we first added each other on Snapchat. Romantic, right? But our first real hangout wasn’t anything glamorous—it was just us checking out our classes together. We chatted a little after that, but it wasn’t until the CSU Rock the Boat event that things really clicked. That night felt like something straight out of a romance movie. The sparks were instant. We talked nonstop for hours—two and a half, three hours straight—and when the event ended, we weren’t ready for the night to be over. So naturally, we went to Waffle House afterward. Very Southern of us, lol. After that, we were inseparable, literally. Daytime classes, nights after work—sometimes until 3 a.m.—we would just hang out, sitting in the hammocks outside CSU, talking about everything and nothing. It all just felt so natural and easy; I never questioned it. The night he asked me out is so us. I almost wrecked his car because he dared me to “floor it,” and of course, I did. Maybe he was scared of me after, or just impressed, but either way, I guess that is what it took for him to make things official. God was definitely watching over us that night, and it worked out perfectly. Cameron and I have been together ever since. Our story is funny, a little weird, and totally ours—and I wouldn’t change a single moment. It feels like we’ve known each other forever, and also like it all started yesterday. Either way, I can not wait to continue on our journey to forever!
