We're Getting Married (again)!!

In the cornfields of DeKalb, an unexpected relationship began to flourish. On a cold January day as classes resumed at NIU from winter break, Johnny knew he had to figure out how to be introduced to the new Iowa transfer with the cute nose ring. Below are both Johnny and Cassie’s recount of this “magical” day: Johnny: My good friend had just rekindled a flame with his high school sweetheart who happened to be good friends with Cassie. In an effort to make her mine, I made it my mission that semester to slide into the Iowa transfer’s DMs. The task at hand remained difficult, as Cassie played hard to get for quite some time. However, my persistency did not go unnoticed. By constantly texting her one-liners of my witty banter, and even resorting to sending her excerpts of Mark Twain poetry, all the seeds I had planted had finally pollinated into a beautiful cherry blossom. The unicorn from Iowa was no longer able to resist the charm of the Japanese-Italian stallion. Cassie: I was excited to meet some new people when my friend told me some guys she knew wanted to walk to class with us. I will never forget meeting Johnny though, because as we approached them, I wondered “who is this guy in the lime green Shrek pajama pants going to class?” Although slightly scarred from the wardrobe choice and hair style Johnny was rocking, I couldn’t keep myself from laughing at his ridiculous jokes. I then remember sitting in a lecture finding myself hungry per usual dreaming of Big Macs. And it was Johnny “the Shrek guy” who I discovered shared this same Big Mac love. After many study dates and SAE/Sig Kap mixers it was clear there may be more than just a mutual love for accounting here. 6 years later and not much has changed. Johnny and Cassie still love accounting, Johnny continues to bring the laughter Cassie needs in life, and Cassie continues to be his rock....and preventing him from being late to every event possible.
