In 2015, Beni traveled to Colombia on a mission trip and that’s where our paths first crossed. Years later, in December 2022, life brought us back together through social media, and everything just flowed naturally. We became good friends, bonding over language exchange; he wanted to learn Spanish, and I needed to improve my English. It was the perfect excuse to keep talking. For months, we were simply friends, sharing conversations and laughs, until one day, Beni told me he wanted to see me in person and planned a trip to Miami. Without hesitation, I said yes! In June 2023, he went to Miami, and the moment we saw each other it was love at first sight. A month later, in July, we met again, this time in Dallas. That’s where our relationship officially began, and so did our adventure. From that moment on, we traveled every month to see each other as much as possible. I (Elizabeth) was living in New Jersey, and Beni was still in Dallas. Eventually, we realized we didn’t want to be apart any longer. So, on November 2, 2024, I moved to Dallas to be by his side forever. Then, on November 15, Beni proposed with the most beautiful and perfect ring I’ve ever seen (especially because it was made in Colombia). We got engaged, ready to share our days together for eternity. We always knew we were meant to spend our lives together. Since that day, everything has felt just right. Now I get to live my days with the most handsome, kind, and loving man I’ve ever dreamed of and he gets to live with the most amazing woman in the world (lol). We’ve been walking hand in hand for a while now, and we’ve decided to unite our lives in holy matrimony, in front of God, our families, and our loved ones.
