How we met Our paths first crossed in October 2017 at a Halloween party, hosted by yours truly on Woodstock st. Cameron came as a plus one of our mutual friend. We chatted briefly but didn’t reconnect again until the summer of 2019—at Silk City during a Kanye Night party. Surrounded by great music and even better energy, and the spark we didn’t notice the first time. Our Adventure A few weeks later, we had our first date in August 2019: a cozy night in with pho and one of our favorite wines, Kung Fu Girl. We made it official on February 8, 2020, celebrated our first Valentine’s Day shortly after, and stepped out for our first public event at the NOW Youth Foundation Gala in March right before COVID turned the world upside down. In June 2020, we made it official-official and moved in together—no more overnight bags! Since then, we’ve shared countless memories and discovered that one of our favorite hobbies is “trying anything once.” That mindset has taken us on so many adventures. We’ve traveled everywhere from New York, DC, Boston, Orlando, Atlanta, Jekyll Island and Vegas to Cabo, Juarez, London, Amsterdam, and the Dominican Republic (and survived a 24-hour delay in Dallas). We love exploring new places, trying new things, and collecting memories wherever we go. In July 2023, we found out we were expecting our son, Crew Grey. In November, we experienced the deep loss of Crew, a moment that profoundly shaped our journey and strengthened our love in ways we never imagined. In March 2024, we started looking for a new place to begin again. By August 30, 2024, we closed on our new home—and a few days before that, Cameron popped the question. The Proposal We’ve always said that night at Silk City in 2019 changed everything. We even celebrate it as our Kanye-Versary. So, for our 5-year anniversary, Cameron planned a surprise to recreate that night. Ragine thought they were just heading out, but Cameron had a detour in mind—one that ended in front of their soon-to-be new home. He said they needed to “talk about the house,” and while Ragine wondered why they were standing in front of a place they didn’t even have the keys to yet… Cameron got down on one knee. Caught completely off guard, Ragine blurted out, “Are you serious?” while Cameron patiently stayed on one knee, creasing his new Jordan Air 1s in the process. And then, without hesitation, she said, “I do.” The Now We’ve settled into our new home—Cameron Jr. had claimed his room long before we moved in! Our family has found joy in the simple things: family movie nights with pizza and popcorn (twice a month, no excuses), DIY projects around the house, and sharing new experiences—always trying something new at least once. This is our rhythm. This is our joy. Just the three of us—looking forward to love, growth, and the many adventures ahead.
